I was silent;(A) I would not open my mouth,(B)
    for you are the one who has done this.(C)
10 Remove your scourge from me;
    I am overcome by the blow(D) of your hand.(E)
11 When you rebuke(F) and discipline(G) anyone for their sin,
    you consume(H) their wealth like a moth(I)
    surely everyone is but a breath.(J)

12 “Hear my prayer, Lord,
    listen to my cry for help;(K)
    do not be deaf(L) to my weeping.(M)
I dwell with you as a foreigner,(N)
    a stranger,(O) as all my ancestors were.(P)
13 Look away from me, that I may enjoy life again
